Default Short Shifters

I was wondering what the difference was between an Ebay $35.00 short shifter on ebay and a $100.00 short shifter on a company's site. Because both guarantee 40-60% throw?

Strength (which not only means it's more resistant to breaking, but also makes it feel more solid), comfort of the bend, and less likely to interfere with exhaust components.

Most name brand ones are steel. All the ebay ones I have seen are aluminum.

How would a cheap short shifter interfere with your exhaust components?

Poor research going into the development of the product... bad measurements, etc.

That's what I have. I love it.

There's a single bend one and a dual bend one. If you get the dual bend one, it's made for DOHC engines. If you have a SOHC engine, you just take the two spacers it comes with and file them down until they are narrow enough. The only difference between the DOHC and SOHC shifters is that the shift linkage bracket is wider on the DOHC linkage. If you file down the metal spacers, it fits perfectly.

Well since i have a SOHC wouldn't it be better to just save my time and get a single bend short shifter.
