Ok this is the deal. I need to get a new left side fender. I could get the oem sider fender unpainted sent to me for like $80. Or i could spend around $200(shipping included) for these on ebay. I would still have to get them painted. They are also fiberglass. Quality wise i'm not sure which is better fiberglass or carbon fiber or the huge difference especially fender wise. Also if i'm trying to get it painted to match my car will it be harder or impossible on one surface or the other? Finally should i get some cool looking fenders I have nothing esle really done sporty look wise to my car other then a greddy evo 2 exhaust

The painted OEM fender may be painted, but I doubt that it'll match 100% because of the fading of your car from the sun. It'll always look just a bit off at different angles.

IMO, any of those surfaces should be the same for painting. Quality wise, the carbon fiber fender may be a bit stronger than the fiberglass, but not by much, since they usually only put a thin layer of carbon fiber over top of a fiberglass part anyways. (unless you pay big money for pure carbon fiber)

Some people on here and everywhere else will call anything different "ricey looking", so in the end, do what you think looks best.

How about asking someone to photoshop both fenders on your vehicle and see how it looks and go from there?

You could post a request in the Chop Shop section of the forum. But my opinion is go for the sporty style FBRGLS fenders, save some cash and get the whole car repainted when you get the fenders mounted.

 

Yeh, you're gonna have to get the entire car repainted eventually if you want everything to match.

It sounds like you really want the sporty lookin fenders, so go for them! They look good, and I know you're just dying to set your ride apart from others somehow. This is it!
