Pshh... 2". 3" up front and 3.5" out back is where it's at... run a high offset (+42 or higher) and a few degrees (a lot) of negative camber, roll the front fenders by hand, remove the fender liners, and you're good to go 
Scott, if you're willing to run a little negative camber and your wheels are at least a +42mm offset with 205/40-17 tires, you shouldn't have to roll your fenders to avoid rubbing.
