Default Soldering LEDs?

Still waiting on a quote from LEDautomotive (been a while) to have them soldered before they mail them to me... does anyone have an idea of what they will charge me to get the LEDs for a climate kit for an 04 civic soldered? I would do it myself but I've got no clue of how to do anything with cars.

making things out of LED's is like well I dont know how easy to compare it to maybe cutting butter with a hot knife? very easy to do . but no clue on a price for pre-soldered LED's.

i just posted a link to some prewired leds....

price is ruffly 1.29 or something like that depending on what color led you want.
they are all ready to wire up! double shrink wraped and ready to go!
and depending on your instal you can get some led holders. i just bought some plastic ones, but they do have a chrome one.....

leds are easy to solder BUT they are a pain in the @ss!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you gotta do lets see...4 solder joints for each led that alone is a HUGE HASSLE if ya have very many to do!
i got a bunch of green leds and resistors to use left over from my truck BUT ill probably never use them because i hate soldering so much!!!!!

i would highly recomend ozniums prewired leds! a huge time saver!

I just got a quote from them (so maybe contacting them again is necessary), but for the climate control to be soldered (and unless you really know how to solder, I suggest this cause the resistors are the size of a pencil tip) I am going to have to ship it back to him, and then it will cost $19 for him to solder it and then ship it back.. I've asked if I did all the work up to the point where it would get soldered, if he could drop the price a little, and he said no, because that's basically all the cost for the soldering..

well crap, i guess i just got ignored by them... i see that link for those pre soldered leds that addiction2bass sent (Thanks by the way)... do you know if those are the same size as the ones that can go behind the climate control buttons? I am thinking of just having the guy solder them before he ships them but that website offers a killer price... but will they fit?!

The problem I see with the LEDs that bass sent was the fact that they are already soldered, you won't be able to get them in the bulb holder... and the way the bulbs get their power is the wires are exposed on the side of the holder and when you turn the bulb into the hole it connects to the power so you would have to find a way to get them power... but you might be able to cut the holder to get them in, but I don't know?

the way i did my trucks climate controls was soldered the leds and resistors directly to the board.

but eventualy when i do my civic with some led lights im just gonna do it real easy like on all the holes

want a clue........... its hard when ya get it in a stick and it melts to OZZZZZZZzzzzze cools and stays thier and can be removed for later on if ya no likie....

GLUE GUN BABY
just hold the led inplace ozze some glue around the led and controls... and hold it thier for 30seconds while the glue cools and hardens

and with them being prewired.... hell grab 3-4 of them strap em together and then glue all how ever many you can get into the hole [8D]

id like mine to be preaty bright and spread out if i can so i think i got a few options for my gauges..
either glue in some leds with them firing different directions to spread the light out more even..
OR
use a 4inch cold cathode and pull it outta the tube and actualy stick it inside the lenses.... not sure if it can be done yet cause i havent pulled anything apart yet to see... BUT if its anything like my truck gauges where it should be easy enough... im just to broke to buy anything now

Well I bought the LEDs from the LEDautomotive ebay site and payed the extra for the soldering... all together just 30 bucks... now I am confused because it appears like the LEDs will be mailed to me and then I have to mail them to their soldering person somewhere else... why cant they send it to the soldering guy and then send the final product to me? All I want is the soldered LEDs and have my local shop install them in the car.. simple as that.
