seigi would be the one to talk to about that, he did his entire dash black. the thing about the softer material is that if you paint it the standard way, it will start to peel off because you can't sand it or prep it at all. you need to use a duplicolor (best brand in my personal opinion) vinyl dye. as far as removing the dash to paint it, i think it can be done but it would be a rpyal pain in the ***. i believe its fine to paint in the car as long as you make sure EVERYTHING is masked off. once again, i'd recommend talking to seigi. hope that helps. and thanks for the compliment

to prep the dash and softer material parts on the interior you have to use scotch brite pads and scuff stuff (it is a concetrated soap that they use to prep plastics at a auto body shop) you can find both at a auto paint supply store..for the dash i would recommed takin it out due to scuffin takes a long time to make sure u get every inch and you will scuff in a wet sand method with the scuff stuff..due to adding aromor all or any dash cleaning product your dash will have alot of grease and such that paint will not stick to so make sure u scuff for a long time..you might even have to spray each piece twice like i did. you will have to paint it find the fish eyes and rescuff after the paint is dried....i used a clearcoat/basecoat paint that i also got at the auto paint supply store (same as the exterior of cars) you should also spray it out of a gun... dupont makes a vinyl dye paint for the interior and is great if u are looking for a dull finish(friend used this) and is very expensive she spent like 500 in paint and materials where i spent like 150 cause i use omni which is a inexpensive paint but it lasts as far as chips the only problem i had was when i was puttin in my seats and scratched my door panel but it is real tuff to scratch and it will not chip if u do it right

is that your ride? and how can you paint the soft foam vinyl with auto paint. i would think if you put any pressure on it at all once its dry then it would crack
