Thanks, yeah I found one in Itinerant's for sale thread. I looked at the center console after reading a bit on here and it looks pretty easy to take apart. This will be good practice for when i replace the shift boot soon, mine's torn.

How my tape deck looks from outside.

I just undid all the bolts and gutted the insides out, then filled bottom with ducktape to keep coins from falling through cracks.

works amazing IMO, no money spent and i have a nice hiding area for my ipod and coins.

i still cant figure out how to embed them from flickr.

That idea has some POTENTIAL. Seriously, gut the tape deck and make a pocket? We need to start a stealthy mod thread for all these anti-theft measures.

I was going to put a voltage meter there, but I did this in the mean time:



One of these days I may get around to doing the volt meter.

That is not a bad idea at all. Who steals a tape deck, right?

relocate the cd player to the cupholder area then make a carpc for the double din spot hehe
