Default thinking about some new rims

hey ive been thinking about some new rims for awhile now. i like black, and gunmetal, and i hate chrome. or at least all chrome.

so at first, i was looking at motegi racing sx5's, but ive heard they are fairly cheap quality...
and then i fould rota slipstreams. omg.

ok so first, a pic of my car:

now, for the picture that got me thinking about rotas:

absolutely beautiful. however, i dont know how they would look on a jetta.
but i found some on a gti.

and i think they look cool.
however ive seen pictures with really fatty tires with rotas, and i think those are ugly.
and then ive seen pics like the one above, where they are low pro. i dont know much about rim/tire combos, but can you pick how big you want your tires to be?

so do you guys think rotas would look good on my jetta? and if so, how big? 16"? 17"?

lower first, would look goofyesp with low profile tires.. i think they'd look good, pretty big car so i'd prolly go with 17's.

i was thinking on lowering it at least an inch and a half, but...

coilovers are like 600 bux and thats 600 bux that i dont have. the only reason i can justify rims is that im going to need new tires soon so that would be the only time i could get new rims because if i got new tires and then went out and got new rims and new tires, it would kinda be a waste.
so i may look for used coilvers, who knows.

ok dont lower it and your jetta will look likeits lifted btw if you go lowering springs you will end up spending more than just buying coilovers. so make the informed decision

is buying a suspension kit used a good idea?
