i would use that money towards the things you need to fix first. then mod the car afterwards

well hopefully i cant find a deal on rims AND tires. i could get them 15" sportmax 002 i was talkin about for $400 or the 17's for $350. i would have to get the cv and the filter and then save the rest untill the next check.

for the tires maybe a cheaper way to replace them with something a little better is to find some used tires on craigslist. theres a local flea marker around me that sells some not so good brand, Hercules, never even heard of them for like $160 brand new for a set of four. i used them for a year. lol. that was when i first got my civic and didn't have much money to spend on the civic

Get the CV shaft and the air filter.

THEN, screw the tires, and just start saving for rims and tires. If it ends up taking too long, then replace the tires.

Replace them first then, before the axle and filter, if possible.

Get used tires from a "used tire" shop.

This is the mindset i'm warning you about. If you pick rims that you aren't completely 100% truly sure that you like, you'll probably regret it down the road because you could have used that money to save for the rims that you knew you wanted for sure.

The best thing you can do is find a less expensive set of quality rims, and then commit to buying them. Then save your money. At first, not spending that money sucks because it burns a hole in your pocket. But when it's all said and done, there is no better feeling than having what you want because you were able to commit to saving your money for them.

I was going to buy rims that look just like mine but were a poor brand and a lot heavier. If I wanted these Drags that I have now, I was $20 short and I had to save my money another week. Instead of jumping the gun and buying the others just because I could, I saved for another week and bought the Drags. I couldn't be happier. Once you're done saving the money, all the stress of having to wait for the rims is gone, and you won't even remember what it felt like. You'll be 10 times happier with rims that you want 100% for sure.
