Default very broad body kit questions

thinking of putting a body kit on my 98hb. How much can i expect to be paying (excluding the kit itself) for painting and labor to put everything on?

also, how close do you think the fitment would be if i got one from a credible place?

thanks,
-Doug

fitment is very perfect! id highly suggest to stay away from body kits. but thats just my opinion.... you can make the body kit fit good but be prepared to modify the whole kit to fit perfectly so cut chop glass it back together again.
and after all that work if you even bump a curb then alot of your hard work will get destroyed first slight bump.

Honestly, if you're already planning on going to a credible place, you'll be paying a lot... why not just pay the extra money to buy a polyurethane body kit. Poly kits have more or less perfect fitment, and they're just as durable as the stock bumpers (unlike fiberglass).

yeah, i've read alot about them and seems like they're pretty high quality. i'm kind of new when it comes to body work so i wouldn't be putting it on myself. i'm assuming that there are shops out there that paint and install, right? what kind of bill should i be looking to have though?

It depends on what shop you go to to be completely honest. Also, it depends on the body kit material and fitment (I'd think the paint prep for poly would be a lot cheaper than that of fiberglass). I'd suggest you find some local shops (I know there are quite a few in pgh) and call in and try to get quotes; it'll give you a good idea of how much you'll be paying.

best way to know the price would be hitting up some shops that would do it. call around a couple of them so you know what their prices are and go and check them out and take a look at their work. different area, different shops charge a different price.

my opinion is the same as the others, go with a full lip kit instead, front, rear, and sides. i think it looks clean. i've seen them on hatches and they look amazing. cost a lot less than doing a body kit.

Are you talking lip kits or body kits?

As far as lip kits, you can't go wrong, really... Type-R, Mugen, Jun... they all look clean.

As far as body kits, about the only one I like any more is the Buddy Club 2 kit.
