Well, I haven't tried large wheels on a Civic (not that I'd want to) but if you are generally saying 17+ is a crappy ride, I disagree. I have 20s on my other car and it rides almost exactly the same as the stock 16s. The only time it has a disadvantage is when I hit potholes.. that DOES suck. But the ride itself is fine.
