Default What Do You Serously Think?

I have a Honda Civic EX Coupe. Year 1995. I took out my back seat and put my subs (12inch kickers, alpine front/back speakers)there. I want good audio performace. I recently have been putting dynamate in. Im thinking though to strip the whole entire inside of my car and lay down dynamite everywhere. Over all the metal and everything in my car. Im thinking not to put carpet over it. Just leave it as showing the silver dynamate. Carpet will be down on the passenger and drivers side though. (the car is about to be primered black paint.) I want to know what some people think. (exterior black inside silver?) Some of my friends say it would be a good amout weight reduction? What do you guys/girlsthink?

Thanks,
BeeDull

Pretty sure the weight of the dynamat will counter the effect of stripping the interior. And if you were really worried about weight you probably wouldn't be focused on a massive stereo install. Kinda think it would look tacky imo seeing all the dynamat. But thats just my $0.02, if that is what you want to do though don't let peoples opinions change your mind

If your gutting it out why are you putting a 20lb sub box in it and a bunch of audio equipment. And if you take the door panels off even with the nice audio system its going to get annoying and shake a lot of stuff.

Depending on the # of subs being installed...and if the box is made from 3/4-1" mdf (as it should be) could weigh in closer to 150-200lbs added.

Why wouldnt you want a back seat?
Put those things in the trunk, back seats FTW!
And I'm not feeling the dynamat showing. Put the rug back.
And agreed with them, pick one weight reduction, or sound, cuz ya ain't guna get both.
And Idunno how i feel about flat black primer for extreior paint? or are you guna paint it a nice black after you prime it?

I don't like dynomati here its a waste and it doesn't work that good but i've never tried. Im not all about putting a lot of speakers in a civic. because they aren't built to handle that much weight.

go down to 1 high quality 10" sub, TRUST ME, you will be happy, next, you dont need all that dynamat. its kinda like tabasco, just a dab'll do ya! find out where its rattling, and put strips there. usually its the back deck. next, work on performance, there is absolutly NO NEED to wake the neighbors with yoru music, its just ricer-like.
