Default what gauges to get...?

I just put one of the lower consoles in and moved my radio/cd player down to it. Got it from Pokom on eBay. (merry christmas to me). I am wanting to put gauges in the spot where the radio was. I have looked at a lot of gauges. The more I look the more confused I get. I don't think I want mechanical gauges. No oil lines inside the car and all. But that is probably only an issue for cheap gauges.?? I already ordered some angle rings for 2+1/16 (52mm) gauges so they will tilt toawrds the drivers side. After I get the gauges I'll cut out the DIN plate and get started on the installation.

So here's a few questions...

Any recommendations or opinionsforgauges will match the style of the OEM cluster fairly well? I was leaning towards digital at first, then decided I'd rather go with the OEM look as much as possible.
(Without costing an arm and a leg... just an arm is ok, but not both)
Has anyone moved the heater controls down to the old radio opening? Is it worth the trouble.?
I've seen it in a picture, on eBaywhen I was buying the console.

Sorry about the quality of the picture. Kind of a crappy little camera.

Well I did the similar route, but I used a prebuilt tripple gauge pod by "glow shift":

I'm using electric oil psi gauge and I'm content with it, I've read alot of people saying why not to use it but when I spun a bearing I knew something was wrong because I could see the oil pressure not sitting in the same place as it was before...
The gauges I'm using Autometer's Cf ultra light gauges (electric oil psi and volts) but when I was looking you have alot of options for "best matching OE". Autometer's Cobalt gauges are the best at "matching" (minus the needle) in my opinion but they are extremely expensive and are blue led lit:

Autometer has several other gauges that would fit (black with white lettering), most have red needles and secondary colors also appear... Ebay is good for looking at various types of gauges (mostly seeing them lit and not lit) to find one type/style you like better than the next...

I saw the triple gauge thing from glow shift after I bought my radio block off plate. That's pretty nice. Already angled and everything. Your set up looks really clean.

You are very limited to how much "depth" there is down there. I just have an el-cheapo WalMart radio and I had to mash the poop out of the antenna lead to get it to set back in far enough. Anything bigger probably won't fit well.

The console itself was $96 plus shipping (almost $30) and the radio plate was $20 plus shipping ($5). Console honda part number is 08U60-SR0-112A. Radio plate is honda part number 77230-SM4-G00.

The glow shift piece was like twenty bucks, the main down side is it's thin metal and will bend easily... I have mine JB welded into the hole, it's been there for over a year now with zero issues.
Mounting the deck down in the lower pocket was simple, I just had to aquire the mounting bracket and cup holder assembly (96-98 version, the original owner took the OE cd player out as well as it's mounting bracket and just left the cup holder) and the Pioneer I used the screw holes lined up perfectly. And as for space, yea I didn't have to cram mine down but my deck has a lil fan on the back to keep it cool and I doubt i have any room to spare...

But when it comes down to it finding the gauge that makes you happy is important, I wish that my CF gauges were full sweep.... but they're real cf so it's a trade off I can handle for now...
