To make my car look cool(er).
I don't want to spend a lot, as I am saving for college, but I'd like to personalize my new Civic.
Suggestions?

I would start with wheels and tires and maybe suspension.

 

1st, some 99-00 red/clear tail lights, and then maybe some jdm style black housing headlights. then a good lowering kit and rims and good tires.

 

carbon fiber hoods looks sick on black cars.

 

If you're just going for looks? taillights, headlights, new front grille... maybe some tint... all fairly cheap and easy to do.

 

wheels and tires...that would make it stand out and be unique the most, but its going to be hard when your saving up for college and do stuff to your car if u have a avarage paying job

 

LIP KIT!! type r, spoon, mugen, the possibilities are endless, beutiful and cheap!

 

Would I have to put on smaller wheels to lower the car? or would it be fine as is?

 

Tint and rims/tires for a start, then move onto lowering and suspension. From there do whatever you wish.

about the smaller wheels- it just depends on how much of a drop you get. my sister has 17" on her accord and they dont fit on my civic cause they would rub but i have seen as big as 18" on civics. and on how low of profile tire you get. but id get the rims/tires you want and then see on the lowering kit. cause the accord isnt lowered, there is some gap but not bad.
