i dont think they are going to....(so the bodyshop said..lol) hey addict since im going and getting the stock tails and since i wanna tint them even though im not sure if i wanna do it the way you have it....should i use like the night shades spray or should i actually like have them tinted with the film????

the tint overlay wont work very good....
cause of the cracks.... over time heat would crack the tint or get a bunch of dirt in thier and it will look realy bad!
and youll also have to sand off the raised lettering for the tint to lay down smooth as posible.....
but painting is SO MUCH EASIER than laying tint on a curved item!

if ya got me some unchiped or bad scratches taillights i could sell ya my taillights and just redue the stockers from yours to mine again
say 15 for tint and 45 for the superflux leds and 35bucks for my time/work...
so good stock lights red/clear OEM of course and 95bucks cash.... we both pay for our own shiping charges and insurance... and ya got yourself a nice tinted/ custom lighting for daytime safety! [8D]

then just bolt em in and plug in the wire conectors in 5 mins ya could be rocken my tails
for my next set of taillights im gonna try to use some different led lights... maybe some flex strips or something inside the taillights..... or just the same superflux leds with also some small 3MM leds drilled in as well for alittle more even lighting...

 

well im kinda wanting the whole things to be smoked to better blend in with the car...i was gonna try and look at your thread when you did yours but ill find it later and save it...even though this is film this is still kinda what im going for to do with mine.

ya i bought the same film... still have it in my closet.LOL
but like i said the crack in the taillights will crack the tint overtime from heat and get dirt behind it to look preaty bad! with the paint ya dont have to worry about that!

AND if ya tint the whole taillights like i did originaly then people will run up on your @ss ALL THE TIME cause during the day they cannt see your brake lights or turn signals! and ya cannt see your backup lights either!

not to bad BUT the sun wasnt that bright out.... during a bright day they where preaty bad!!!!!
and also the reverse lights ya couldnt see AT ALL at night!
well ya could see the white lense BUT the light output sucked so bad ya couldnt see anything behind ya!
which is the reason why i did my black.clear, with the leds in the clear......
awhole lot safer to drive during the day!!!!!!!!! and also cops wont mess with ya as much for sure!

 

damn addict thats HELLA dark..lol....i didnt want something THAT dark but just like maybe a couple of shades....but i mean who knows,they could look fine without anything on there at all.

 

If your looking for black tail lights I have some I'll sell you I put my stock ones back on. Heres a pic of what they look like. I don't have an actual pic yet I'm away at college I'll be home this weekend and take some of the actual lights if your interested. I'm looking to get $50 shipped depending on where your located.
They only bin on my car for about 3months.

 

well all this is for insurance so i cant buy them from an actual person...it has to be a business thats the only thing that sucks about this.

lol thats how i would like mine to look but i know i couldnt get away with anyone seeing them like you said.I would like more of the gunmetal look then the blackout look i think.
