I have a '94 Civic EX Coupe. I want to get a front lip like this one pictured but I want it to bolt under the bumper like a factory lip. This one pctured is off ebay (urethane Type-R) and the top piece sits on the grille with double sided tape and bolts to the fender inside. I want this exact style lip that bolts on exactly how the original came off (Under the bumper). My son has a lip like I want on his '96 and it looks to be a factory option. Can I get a lip like this from Honda, ebay, etc.? Should I go with urethane, ABS plastic or fibreglass? Any help, suggestions, pics or links would be geatly appreciated. Thanks! Bill

 

I have heard you want urethane for body kits so i would assume this would be the same.

I'll check those 2 sites. I just don't like the look of it sitting on my grille. I'd rather have one that bolts underneath like an original.

you can get it from honda but you will pay like $500, get it from e-bay or a on-line shop and get urethane or ABS plastic, both are great and will be a perfect fit, the ones that fit on the top you cant even notice, for the ones that bolt on under..try searching honda factory lip on e-bay or check out some scrap years

heres a thread with a bunch of peoples aftermarket lips for the eg, you can see how some have the type r that sits on the top, you cant really notice..i do like the stock ones tho

The lip I have pictured in the post above mounts like this. I think it looks like crap mounted this way.

I don't know where you can find one like what you are looking for, but I do know that I just put one on my civic yesterday identical to the one in the pic that you posted up top. Let me tell you that it looks great and I'm happy that I got it. But good luck if you don't want that style. Wish I could be of more help.

 

once its painted you cant notice it at all..it looks factory

 

I guess it wouldn't be so noticable once painted. But that black on red in my picture looks tacky!

i agree with you there, unless its the color scheem hes going for...but ya, i would search for the one your looking for, and if you cant find it..consider getting that one^ and painting it, call honda and get a price
