it says 2dr and 3dr only but i dont understand what the doors have to do with it

Never owned that gen., but like all Civics, the 2/3 dr. are just a little different from the sedans. Not extremely noticeable, but the front bumper may be different, as well as the fenders, hood, rear bumper, etc. If the guy on Ebay is saying that it is only for 2/3dr,I would suggest not to buy it. Your right CVCRCR99, i have that gen and the fenders are a bit different from 2/3 door to 4 door. the corner lights are different i think. I would risk it, just keep looking for ones that say 4 door.
