Default AEM Short Ram Intake

Advance Auto Parts

$75 and some change with my employee discount

'00 Civic Ex

6/10

Install was pretty easy. It took about 45 minutes from start to finish. The only time I really looked at the instructions was to see how the little bumper intstalled on the intake to keep it from rattling around. One of the draw backs i didnt like it that i cant put a breather on the intake it self unless i modify the breather in order to elminate the breather hose to the valve cover. It adds a nice look to the car when you open the hood. I felt some gain in the lower gears and it also makes the car sound like it has a little bit more *****.

Pics of before and after soon to come.

Uh, you do know that you're supposed to have the breather from the valve cover go into the intake right?

Yeah that's a bad deal, that breather tube needs vacuum.

yeah, just put mine on tonight. I got a 2000 EX D16Y8, its pretty good again theres the problem with the breather hose, it dosen't quite reach so the breather hose dosen't fit all the way but you can manage. Hopefully i can buy a new hose for it sometime this week... But anyways theres a different sound to it, nothing noticeable at low rpms, but when you step on the gas it definitely sounds better. Heres my pic.
