i don't consider either democrat or republican, it's like picking from black and white. it makes no sense, there's always going to be gray areas. I just go by their individual policies and balance out the pros and cons to see who gets my vote.
I know for a fact that for a long time, democrats will most likely be what i have common with, because i just simply dont agree with many republican conservatives views. I dont think either party is going to change its stance for the next few years.
If I find a candidate on the republican side that actually has my views, then i would vote for him in a heart beat. I highly doubt they will.

Wow really guys? The entire republican party has drifted so far to the center now its hard for me to tell if there are any conservatives left in the GOP. McCain? More liberal than Bush who is arguably the most liberal republican president since Nixon (established the EPA). Ron Paul has to be the most conservative candidate on the ballet at the moment (to the best of my knowledge). There aren't many conservatives left in the GOP.
The only conservative things McCain has done is the war, abortion, and possibly gay marriage. These are all social issues though. I miss the good 'ol days when conservatives preached small government, low taxes and constitutional rights.

I believe the country is mature enough nowadays to accept a black man as president. At least that's what I hope.
