ya thats pretty impressive.....but those hoods are like 350 rite? I guess since CF hoods arent my style i prolly wouldnt get one if they were 100$

 

yeah CF gets expensive quick, but in the auto industry, you set yourself a goal of running say a 12 second flat. $2000 will get you 7/10 of the way there, but you will need $1000 for every tenth after that...its just how it pans out. the lighter and more powerful you make your car, the harder it is to make better, and more expensive

 

right, but i made a goal with myself. Instead of buying cam gears and headers and lowering springs and indiglo gauges and spending 2,000 on little stuff that doesnt do much.........im just waiting until i have 2,000 and getting my greddy turbo kit. (its so within my reach).....im sure im better off turboing my car to 6 PSI than getting cf stuff and ur regular list of bolt ons.

 

mossy: I see that you have a lip spoiler already, which looks awesome imo. You are looking at spending at least $800 for the parts aloe (cf hood, certifit bumper, depo projectors, radiator, condenser, fans, grill, other misc parts

 

sorry to hear that, maybe you should find a different route to go..... i would stick to bodykits that are simple and not so over powering with lots of holes and creases.

 

i like that second one thats a hot hatch...but id ditch the spoiler if i was them

 

UPDATE:

i forgot to add this little gem. i was driving the car to my girls house because her uncle was going to make an estimate on how much he would cost. i was going down the freeway when WHAM! my hood flew up and smashed the windshield. thats getting replaced too now.

the car is already well on its way back to normal. the chasis was straightened, a new core support was just welded in, and the fenders were shaped back to normal. i decided that i want to try and keep my car more on the clean side, so i'm having a new stock bumper painted with the mugen lip on it, and my sideskirts are being painted as well. i ordered a set of projectors tonight and i'm picking up a CF hood from a local speed shop tomorrow afternoon, should look good. the civ will be back up to par in two weeks at latest and it will cost me $2500 for everything when it's all said and done. then i can quit driving this god forsaken suzuki [:@]

 

get a CF trunk too. theyll save the same amount if not more than the hoods.

 

nah, the whole point here is that i'm only replacing parts that got smashed up

 

Yeah that's always fun. I forgot to latch the hood on my 300ZX and the same thing happened.
