Default 8Gig or 80Gig ipod?

I was going to pick up a 80 gig which stores are 20,000songs but I don't think I will ever fill that up or come close, so I can save about $100 and get the 8gig nano, it holds 2,000 songs. Right now I have about 500 or so songs and lets say I put about 1000 photos and a video maybe, I think ill still have plenty of room for new songs and stuff. Anyonethink 8 gig will betoo small?? or more then enough?

Oh get the 80, hands down.
I remember when I got my first computer and it came with a 1.6gig hard drive... I thought "1.6 gigs! Holy ****, I'll never fill that monster up!"
Now I'm here with my 60gb iPod all filled up, needing some rearranging.
You may not have that much stuff to fill it with now, but your collection is only going to grow

They dont really make the 30gb ones any more and i just grabbed the 8gb on in question.

I had the same delima at hand since the prices are so similar but i choose the smaller 8gb one cause its physically smaller and its pretty cool to boot. I didnt feel i needed the 80gb one, its just alot more storage that i would ever really need plus the battery does not last as long since that one is based off of a laptop drive with moving parts and the nanos use flash memroy.

I can snap sopem pics of my 8gb if you want but size wise its like tiny maybee 15 business cards thick and a pinch smaller lenght wise.

Movies take up alot of room, so you can use the space for that and not all music. if you like to carry it in your pocket the nano is easier, but the 80 is nice to have for anything.

I have looked at the new nanos and yes they are so tiny. I dontplan on to many videos, like put one or two on and then erase them in a couple days.

I have the nano and love because it is small and I can easily take it with me and it is not so huge in my pocket. I have different set-ups on my i-tunes so I can switch downloads faster.

thats how i do it, i first had transformers the movie on there now im working on the latest heros eps and chuck and larry movie.

Music i keep for a long time but how many times you gonna watch the same movie in a weeks time? Plus the nano is very easy to transport around since its so small. Dont get me wrong the 80gb on is nice if you dont mind its size and weight but im on foot more than in my car so i rahter the one thats easier to travel with.

go with the smaller and cheaper one. by the time you have enough music/misc for the 80GB, they'll be a new one out for cheaper (most likely "better")

yeah if you don't need the space, the nano is undoubtedly better for you. It's smaller and flash based so it will be more durable than the 80 gig hard drive based ipod.
