So I have mamaged to get 2 tickets within like 2 months of each other. And heres what hapenned, last night me, my friend and my sister were on our way home from going to play billiards And then my girlfriend and cousin flew past us right at the wrong time, I was doing around 60-65 well they told me that there car was upto around 95 well at that very given moment a cop sees her passing me and gets her on radar lock (actually says radar lock on the ticket) So the cop flips a U-turn actually breaking them lose, he hauls *** pass me and pulls over my girlfriend and her cousin. So Im thinking okay maybe since i was going much slower I am going to get lucky(afterall i was still going about 10 over) So once he has them pulled over I get into the lane farthest from the shoulder and then he jumps out and signals for me to pull over, so I do. So he comes running upto my car and tells me to back up so im bumper to bumper with the other car. After talking to them he asks why I was "racing" them, I looked at him and told him I wasn't racing then he asked if I know the people in the car so tell him then he says I was doing 95!!!! I was tottaly shocked I asked to see the printout of my speed, yet he refused that he needed to show me that. To make a long story short it came out to a 427$ ticket. Well we both get tickets of the same amount and everything. Well both tickets say he had us on radar lock. Well the same cop that I talked to about my neon lighting told me that when they get someone on lock it takes them about 5 seconds to clear well as we passed him the other car flew pass me so im thinking that He got her on radar and figured at the moment we were side-by side so he gave us both a ticket for that same amount. But I really would have much rathered I got the one for doing 10 over instead of like 40 over.

Oh and we weren't racing that moment ut before we got onto that road we did out on a country backroad and I know that an 89 Accord LX-i automatic will school my civic..........

 

Well guys it sounds like after this one the civic is gone, iv been pulled 3 times in the past month the car has to go. I am unable to control myself in it so it has to go, Anyone have any ideas of what a fair price is for it??? I am hoping to buy a mid-late 90's 4-runner or tacoma with the V6

 

you can sell it to me for like... 100 bucks...

 

Either the cops in your area are D1ck$ or you gotta keep your foot outta the gas! THAT SUCKS!!!!!! Sorry dude!!!!!!

 

i would fight that so much dude, if you were doing 65 and she was doing 95 within 5 seconds she would of been like 10-15 car lengths ahead of you, so it sounds like the cop is just being a d*ck and trying to make it look like you guys were racing, and also tell your gf to slow down, not safe that fast on the roads

 

I don't know about that dude. i have bbeen to court and seen ppl fight the tickets and they do not win. THEY DO NOT WIN!!!!
and thwe worst of it is, when you lose, most of the time you will not be able to get driving school. but then if you just go up and ask for driving school they'll be like no ****ing way. So i would just like to say, in plain english, you're ****ed. I mean you know not to be rude or anythin, but you just gotta decide when your sitting in the bench at the courthouse, what you'll do. but if you fight the ticket there is a 1 in a billiion chance that you will actually win.

 

thise things have V-6's in them don't they. My ex used to have one. She swore up and done it would tear my civvy to pieces b/c it had a "sport button." i drove that thing once and i got nowhere with it. and then she wanted to race me one day so we lined up. I ripped her a new one. she was kinda pissed, well actually i didn't rip her a new one. i barely beat her. She claimed she backed off for a second b/c she thought she saw a cop. I was like oh well. i won. she wanted to race again, and i was like nope!

 

so I will probably go in there and plea no contest since I was speeding but not at a speed of 95. Those accord LX-i have a V6 in them? Are you serious? Well that one did rip me a new one earlier that night. But anywasie I do know it just sucks. But I guess I will just have to learn some self-control. Anywaise my girlfriend keeps bragging about her beating me and the ciivc.

 

i got a worse ticket than that

i was doing 29 over in a school zone, unmarked cop was radaring from his driveway and then radio'd in to the cops in town. there were like 4 cars pulled over by one cop and then a sheriff pulls me over and said an unmarked cop got me. 454.50 dollars later it was paid off

 

Its such a trade off between fighting a ticket and paying it, and the above is right not many win....but I'd still fight that! Cause it's BULL!!!!
