i got some people with 3k gt sl's and im wondering if my 99 ex coupe can still kill em stock. im pretty damn sure i could, i know ill have the better shifting on my side ..anyone care to give there 2 cents

 

Well STOCK prolly not..........they simply run lower 1/4 mile times out of the factory...........but uve got the potential just get your parts list on ur car asap and ull have them in ur rearview in no time.

 

you could be pretty damn close. my quick research shows their ETs, in the mid 16s, that puts them in range of you. do a little bit of weight reduction, run a low gas tank, and maybe get that cat-back a little early. that could put you in the same general class as they are, my best on my sohc was 16.68, with the timing a little too advanced, so i could have doen a little better than that. but i had a SRI and a POS cat-back that probably hurt my power more than it helped, and that was it for power. i also had an EX tranny in my dx, and i took out a bunch of weight, sound deadener and stuff like that. in short, youre damn close if youre not there.

 

yeah i know the times and such but thanks for ur input anyways sacicons and pcupo. i meant if anyone had done any kind of rance or seen one with these 2.

this summer ill have exhaust,intake,short shifter and maybe somethin else so im pretty sure ill get the 3k's
