AHH need advice on wedding stuff
Ok, first off I'm an complete idiot when it comes to anything about weddings, children, marriage, growing up, etc. My best budfor 16 years (hes 24 andI'm 23)is getting married to an awesome chick, couldn't be happier for him and he made me the best man but a couple of days ago he tells me the wedding is on June 9th and I dont know WTF to do. Wish he would of gave me a little more than a month to plan. We are both getting fitted for tuxs today so that will be out of the way. I kinda know that I should arrange a bacholar party and a wedding speech but planning, writing, and speaking have been some of my worst fields
. Am I supposed to get the couple something for the wedding? Anybody got any suggestions on what I need to do with the wedding, bacholar party, and the speech? Like I said I'm completely clueless about weddings so any kinda help is welcome. All I know is free open bar=awesome time.

Thanks so far for the input. Well I asked him about it and hes all for a party whatever I decide to do. Anybody got any good stories about bacholar parties that they have been too? Need something to give me some ideas.
keep the speech short and sweet. look up speeches on the internet but don't copy and paste. at least one line of comedy is kinda traditional, but stick to embarassing HIM, not HER. (he'll laugh, she'll hold a grudge) There are people that you are suppposed to thank during the speech, but ask the bride or the wedding planner who else is giving speeches so you can get in touch with them and make sure there isn't any drastic overlap.
As for the party, you've known the guy for a while, just do something he likes. don't worry about being 'traditional'. The last bachelor party I went to was just drinking and playing multiplayer shoot-em-up video games and it was a riot.

For my bachelor party, my best man called me over to his to "hang out, drink some beers, then maybe make our way to th bar." I was there for about ten minutes before I heard a car horn outside. Came out, and found a bunch of buddies from all over the state standing in front of a limo, which took us from Petoskey to Canada hitting all kinds of bars and stuff inbetween.
It was one of the best nights ever, totally didnt see that coming
