I don't get the deal with US drinking age being 21. Doesn't make much sense - why 21? You are a legal adult at 18. On the other hand, whoever said that countries with a lower drinking age dont have problems - you are wrong. Just look at the countries of a former soviet bloc for example.

PS. Like somebody suggested - get somebody that is over 21 to buy you some alcohol. When I need some stuff I either ask a friend or a co-worker

no you are right i am not in the millatry but ppl in my family and a lot of my friends are and there is this litel thing called a draft so i could have been drafted just as well as any one else could be or could have been.
i am not using it as a exuse what i am saying is that at the age of 18 your country thinks you are old and matrue enuff to carry a wepon kill ppl and so on ond so on. but they think you cant handel a beer i personly dont see the logect in that.

 

Sorry, but you cant win. Even if we had a draft......the country would filter out the "handjobs" and not let them fight. Lowering the drinking age wont filter them out. All we need are more "Handjobs" drinking, theyll cause too many problems. Sorry, but the excuse is still no good in my book.

 

Im 20 and have PLENTY of connections. Hell, my parents will even buy it for me.

i thought to serve alcohol you had to be 21 too, but guess not, today i got a phone call from my boss if i wanted work today serving beer to students and i'm only 18. If i didn't had to much homework[:@] i could have been sneaking some drinks while working heheh

 

it matters what state you live in...i.e. i know in Ohio you gotta be 21..but in PA, where i live now..its 18.

 

Yeah, what LODR said, depends on the State. I bartended at 18 the summer after my senior year, it was a blast.

...I'm definitely a drinker, more for taste and social activities. I really like to grill out in the backyard, play some bocce ball, and have a few 10 and Tonics. Or Long islands, and of course you can't forget straight whiskey, that's always fun. I'm also a fairly big beer fanatic.
