Another horrible night
Yeah thats right I have once again had a reallt bad night, And this is how it goes. So I am putting the civic back together and the phone rings, it turns out to be my boss(also my cousin) he informs me that a couisn I was very close to along with 2 of my friends were in a car accident, a bad one. So I run in and tell me mom, then my best friend calls who is on the fire department and responded to the accident. Well my cousin was drinking and rolled his truck, it was an old ford pickup he had it lifted and everything this was like his toy. Anywaise all 3 were ejected from the vehicle one of them was killed, I knew this kid becasue I wrestled with him in high school. My other friend and cousin were both taken to the hospital pretty beat up both will be fine. When we went and looked at the truck they were still taking pictures and I could not get very close but it sounds like the DA ordered to have it impounded and his own vehicle will be used against him in a case of involuntary manslaughter. Goddam this week has just sucked.
wow, im sorry for you, i hope your cousin and the other kid get better, and i am sorry about the loss of the other kid...
the DA is messed up like that tho....

He is like 21 or 22 in that area. So I am glad that week is over it has been the worst week possible. my cousin is going into surgery to have his spline removed as it was bleeding.
Im sorry to hear about the kid that died, thats tough. We all make some tough choices and this will never stop, the only thing you can do is prevent the situation yourself...because every one of these drunk driving accidents can easily and should always be avoided. Sadly thats not how the world works.
I wouldnt be suprised if your cousin gets a manslaughter charge, im not sure what state your in, but here in MA if you are driving and cause someone else to get killed while drunk, you may very well serve some serious jail time and lose your license for life. The DA is not messed up, they are doing their job. Your cousin should be thankful he didnt kill more people or himself. Let this be a lesson to everyone that reads this thread...please it kills me everytime I have to tell a parent their son/daughter wont ever come home.
I remember the first time I had to tell a parent, i parked waaaay down the street of their house and walked to the door by the time I got their i didnt even have to knock and the mother opened the door and screamed; "not my baby" and trying to hold back the tears at that point was the hardest thing I have ever done. I sat in the cruiser for a half hour after that, it really shakes you up.
So please everyone think about the consequences when getting into a car when you or someone else has had a few too many. and if your at a party where someone is leaving and you think they are too drunk, dont let them drive, force them, fight them to not drive. The worst thing in the world is pulling up to a drunk driving accident.
sorry for the rant.

Sorry to hear. I really hate to hear your friend was killed in the accident. But like stated above, drinking and driving don't mix. One of my uncles was killed last month in a car accident, and the "defendant" driver lived. Investigation results are pending as to why the girl ran across the freeway over the median and hit him head on. They said something about she may have fallen asleep at the wheel or alcohol may have been involved. Everything is being kept so hush hush. It's frustrating for both sides of the family...
Damn Sandrider i am sorry for your loss... the ****ed up thing too is that this weekend someone who was drinking and driving hit a guy on a motorcycle and killed him instantly then fled the sceen.
And AllforSRT no need to apologize, everyone would hate to have the duty of telling someone that their child/loved one will not be comming home.
