My mom had a lead foot when she was a teenager..........it was kind of funny to hear my dad tell that she wanted to race everyone she pulled up next to!

Dunno how insurance works in the US but I know if I got 2 speeding tickets I would be paying $900+/Month when they found out. I would be more then happy paying a hefty fine rather then my insurance finding out.

I dont think they should be incredibly high. 2 tickets will be on my record. Right now I pay about $750 every 6 months. Im on my parents insurance, through the same company we have all of our cars, and home owners insurance through. So I get a better rate than if I was on my own. My insurance guy can work pretty good deals. I referred my manager to him for her grandson, who has I think 1 ticket on record (one taken care of by traffic school)..and I think he pays about the same as me. But his car is a little older than mine. The great part about having a Civ too is that they didnt ask me the trim..so they dont kno necessarily that its an Si.

 

My standing on this is that I'd rather pay more to a lawyer than a cinge cent to the state...and it sucks for me that radar detectors are worthless in PA now...don't know why I even have one (only need it in Jersey)

Vascar and accutrack or however that crap is spelled....the two white lines on the road...can't detect with a radar detector and can't question accuracy....sucks major time
