Default Anyone good with iMacs?

Hey guys I need help with my new iMac. I did an apple update and asked me to restart so i did. Now it only goes to the white screen with a grey apple and the spinning thinking wheel. I've done the troubleshooting on apple's website and tried every keyboard combo but all failed. Does anyone else know what to do? Please email me at theggmoogly@gmail.com

I had the same problem when I installed the OSX 10.5. It turned out that it is crucial that the hard drive be formatted as Extended (Journaled) to avoid the problem. You'll need to repeat the installation process. I hope you have a back up of the hard drive.

Edit: Actually, boot the computer using the OSX disk, and then try to repair the hard drive with the disk repair utility.

mine used to do that at times. My new laptop kind of does that at times but I think it's Leopard (it's sucks right now). I would take it to the Apple store and have them look at it. It's pricey but at least you know what is going on and can get a reboot out of it.

Just hold the power button in and restart it. I've had that and somehow it just restarts fine with the update.
