all the peecee apologists call the iPhone just another fad, just like they called the iPod another fad several million units ago... lol.

Ipod featured something new. A miniature hard drive that stores MP3s. Yes, the storage capacity is large, but is it reliable? I think that solid state memory is the best for this type of devices. Less moving parts = more reliable.

iPhone is has no moving parts outside of the mechanical buttons

storage in both the 4gb and 8gb is achieved through solid state

yes, I have one, yes, I love it... and no, I didn't buy it because my TV told me to.

Also, there really is no comparison to a blackberry (trust me, I've got one, and a Treo). Watching movies on it, is actually quite an enjoyable experience, as it's got a 3.5" HD capable screen. edit: me likey typey screen!

amusingly, I expected as much of a response from you.

If you've got nothing constructive to say, don't say anything at all.

I'm sure many others will thank you for shutting the hell up, and not acting like a belligerent, obnoxious little kid.

As far as moving parts, I was specifically talking about the Ipod and what made it so popular.
As far as blackberry, I just used it as an example. A better one would be Nokia N95, which owns the iphone in just about every way. I don't understand how one could enjoy a movie porjected onto a 3.5" screen.

The iPhone's screen is 320x480 that's EDTV at best, nowhere near HD (780/1080), it can scale down video that would be full HD on a full size screen (I believe?) But that would hog a huge portion of 8gb.

No doubt tho, that is still one of the best screens on a phone anywhere, but its not HD.
