hehe you all have some crazy ideas but thanks for the input A 95 M3 would have a zilion miles as would a mid 90's 350z. BMW's are expensive to keep serviced, and a 300zx is a nissan, not that I don't like nissan's, but I just had one blow up on me, that would be wierd lol. Evo's aren't even close to being in the price range. As for 99-00 si, it would be like buying the same car I already have with a slightly better stock motor. Remember I have a 97civic so the body style is almost exactly the same. I'm really looking for something that is different than what I have, affordable, low milage and decent stock power. I think the WRX wins most of those categories over almost any other car for the price range. hehe and personally I think the wrx/sti's look bad as all hell(in a good way), and it is a four door is a sedan.

STI engines cost next to dirt for what they make... you could just buy a WRX and drop it in there and end up with the bigger displacement and much more to play with.

Subies are cake to work on... especially if you're doing something simple like replacing the engine.

Not necessarily next to nothing, but cheap for the amount of power they make. You could probably get a swap for under $3,500 without much trouble; probably even under $3,000. I'll call Foreign Engines tomorrow just to check.

I do know one thing, the WRX's and STi's have different turbo's and if memory serves me correctly both max out fairly quick when you start modding them. I do know that a stock WRX turbo will hit full spool at around 3000rpm on a D16Y7 and make a great and I mean great hp and tq curve both numbers hitting 180 to the wheels.
