Default Auto auction. long story. lol

Ok kinda long but worth it.... so this past weekend I went to a goodwill auto auction here in town I had never been to one and thought I check it out. The way they run it is, it's 100 bucks down payment to get in, (you can use this toward the purchase of a car or take it with you if you dont buy) Before they auction the cars each one is started and put into drive and reverse. Before the aution begins you cant look under the hood or open the doors. So I show up like 1/2 hour early to scope out the cars up for auction. and I spot a nice little 92 civic dx 5 speed 4 door. Of course its one of the last ones to be auctioned off. I dont know yet whats wrong with it. but they get around to it and they try and start it and put it in gear and the guy says it has no clutch. so like 12 people instantly walk away. But when they started the car they had the hood popped and I got a look at the d15 and LEAKEY SLAVE CYLINDER. The reservoir was bone dry :-) so i'm bidding and it gets up to 800 bucks and no one will match me. So I win the car and people are all kinda laughing cuz I drove my hatch there, (haha how are you gonna tow it.) well I get all my paper work out of the way and go down the street to the autozone and pick up some brake fluid. I take my 8mm wrench out of my tool kit I keep in my car and bleed the clutch line out. I start it up and drive the car home!!! No problems! some dude was yellin "how much you want for it" as I drove off. LOL! :-) I came and picked up my hatch later that day with a friend. haha I'll post some pics when I get a chance to clean her up good.

did you pay the whole car? i heard a lot of scams with auto auctions. I went to one once and hated it. All that unnecessary yelling and pressuring lol

Yea the whole car. There wasent any pressure it was cool. There were only like 50 people there and the buyers start the bidding price. I'm def going to keep an eye out for any honda that goes through there.
