UNDER 3 grand! I got a customer that wants to build an all out street racer and he is on a budget of 3 grand to start with for the actual car. I told him a CRX or 240SX but what else could he possibly build? He wants it just for racing and thats it so give me some ideas guys. Thanks!

Supra or 300zx. Tell that guy to stack his pennies a little longer and be patient so he can have some serious cash to drop into a ride.

 

1G DSM? is that the Eagle Talon? Like what year is the 1G? And what model does he need to get? And does he need to do a swap?

 

I'm with 1G DSM or 240SX. And off the top of my head, 1G DSMs ran from 89-94. If he gets one, have him get an Eclipse GSX/Talon TSI AWD. Then he's got an AWD drivetrain and a 4G63T, which can hold 400whp on stock internals.

im sticking with Leviii and Kappa. for a cheap racer, its hard to beat a 1st gen AWD turbo DSM.

 

What model and year DSM does he need to look for? Or what year range?
