Default Best car For under $10,000

I was wondering what everyones opinions are on what the best car to buy would be. I am getting a new car at the end fo summer adn was jsut wondering. I would liek something that is pretty fast stock adn easily moddable and takes well to mods. and usually runs under $10000.

The new Fit is out, i'm not sure that it is under 10k. $10,000 is a very small amount for a new car and i don't think that there is a good car for that price. You can look at Daewoo, i think they have a 9k car. The new Toyota Yaris is a hair over 10k (still under 11k however). If i was bent on getting a car for 10k, that would prolly be my choice. I would not buy a car for 10k, i would get something like a Civic. The civic starts out at 14k, so its a little more than you want spend but i think that its a better car than the Yaris.

a good new car at 10k is VERY hard to come by. at that price ur talking hyundai, daewoo, suzuki..not exactly the best compaines tho hyundai is getting a lil better. maybe up ur budget a couple thousand or start looking at some used cars, u could get a real good used civic for 5-10k easily. most new cars around that 10k price range arnt really made for tunning, their more economy cars and arnt to fast...good luck and i hope u find something good.

-S13 or S14 240SX with an SR or RB swap is as good as it gets.
-1G AWD DSM or a 2G with a 1G swap.
-If you want to go Honda, anything with a fully built all motor C5 or a boosted GSR would make me smile.

The best thing you can do with 10 grand is grab yourself a Honda CBR!!!

Edit: Come to think of it though, with that much you could buy a really nice shell and drop some serious engine power in it to. I'd do that.

AN Integra was up there in my choices. I was also thinking of going to the local honda dealership adn seeing what they have. I was thinking about doing a swap into an older civic but the thing is Ive never done anything thta large before, ro even close to it and Im not the most mechanically inclined person. If I could take over the garage for awhile adn keep my current civic to drive around that would be nice. Anyone in the pittsburgh area up for a swap later this summer? haha

i got my civic from a dealer. the only down side to that is that yuo can get a nicely modded civic on autotrader.com for the same price you would pay for a stock civic...you just have to look around and sort out your options
