Best car you've ever driven?
It depends. There are a lot of different ways to measure. I had a lot of fun test-driving a Mini Cooper S. It was like a go-cart with *****. My old Jeeps have been a lot of fun too. I've liked my friend's X5 and Hemi GC Limited too, for what they were. He also has a Dodge Sprinter Airstream conversion that is nice to travel in. The dirtroad performance of the Subie WRX is pretty eye-opening. The acceleration of my friend's dad's '68 Camaro with a SCd 454 slammed my eyeballs into the back of my skull. My friend's GSX-R moto was similar.
Some of the nicer sedans I've driven have been a '90s Jag, and an AMG Mercedes. My buddy's old Porsche 928 was still a REALLY nice car at 20yrs old.
The nicest-feeling manual tranny I've driven was in a Yota pickup, of all things.
I haven't been too impressed with most GM or Ford offerings. They generally felt "meh" in some way. The worst are military 5-tons, manual OR auto. They plow through or over a lot of stuff though.

My current ride is no slouch in performance or looks (IMO ) however, over the years I have had the pleasure of owning some great looking and performing vehicles. My 1970 Chevelle, black with white hood stripe, comes to mind. The 396 was a monster. My Javelin SST w/390 and Hurst 4 speed was sharp , Burnt copper and black stripes. Had a sleeper Dodge Coronet R/T with the 440 . Looked like a grandma car until at a light! They were all good ! Even my 1985 Subie GL-10 Turbo was a rocket ( My first Turbo car, albeit TINY turbo, that thing would go ) I love rumbling soundi throbbing power, kind of rides. The kind that most people would be intimated even to drive because you literally feel the power in the shifter and coming through the clutch pedal! Never cared for cars or motorcycles that you have to bring to redline to hit some peak power band. It's a personal preference for sure AND sound does matter to me !!!

I drovemy buddies35th anv. z28 auto, smoked the tires, hit 148 on the freeway. it was awesome, also my uncles 2007 lexus gs450h. that hybrid will snap yo head. rode in the evo 8 when we got them here, my step dad was a tech at mitsu, so i got to ride in the first one we got. 100 on some mad curves, not even chirpin a tire, that was fun.
Elise was probably the most fun but I've driven a lot of nice cars E46 M3 w/ Competition Package, Cayman S, STi, EVO. Next time I go through Alabama I'll get to scoot around in a blown NSX sitting on Type-R suspension. But I still like my MINI more than most of them, the Elise was the only one that I felt was a better handling car.
