I've never been to the hood. But my cousin tells me that some of the ppl there are actually quite nice. He said he parked his car in the hood of chicago for 2 weeks, nothing happened to it.

People that live in the hood don't live there by choice and they will be nice to you if you are nice to them. But they will not take no crap either because if you do something wrong they will do something about it because they have nothing to lose by doing something to you. I go to the hood alot. I got alot of friends there that I met throw my cousin. But I wouldn't park my vette there for 2 hours. I would be gone in know time.
