I quite enjoyed my Miatas. What are the plans for the engine?

 

A bolt (or something like that) dropped into cyl1 and still no one knows where the bolt could have come from. Engine is toast.

Before this happened, I planned on going with a big turbo set up on the stock motor, but now I spent that money on a replacement engine. Spending almost $3k on a big turbo set up only to gain an extra 25-30whp (stock rods being the limiting factor at that point) no longer makes sense to me when almost any new performance-oriented car will smoke it. The plan now is to get it running again, complete some of interior mods I started last season and just enjoy it.

Too late. Replacement arrived today. MSM is at a friend's garage and the plan is to have the car up and running again by mid-Sept at the latest.

 

Would any of you guys be able to recommend a suspension parts vendor? As it stands, I'm trying to make my Del Sol S not suck. It came factory with drum rears and no sways. I'm looking to order Rear LCA, ASR subframe brace or equivalent, and camber for the rear. All of this **** is so I can fit a sway bar, run my enkeis, and have new components that I dont have to press bushings into. The odo died at 212k, it is time for a refresh. What lead me to ask, is JHP wanted a fortune to ship my parts. You know, one day from wherever. I'm cheap and impatient. And on the lookout for Integra trailing arms. What a bad platform to start with.

 

I'm guessing Tein is not in the budget?
