No matter what you do to the stock engine...it will really never be fast unless you do lots of work.
that depends on your definition of fast, my car can beat camaro SS' in the corners, but they maul me on the straights, if you wanna corner fast, but more money into suspension, light wheels and good tires, but if you wanna go fast in a line, spend your cash on the engine...

if you want the max power out of a civic go for a 99-00 civic si or any years upwards. you will not go wrong with a civic for reliability and mods
dido, that was my major mistake, i already had my dx ready to go, but i could have waited and pitched in a little more money and bought an si, i was so stupid back then....

yea if i knew what i knew now, i woulda got the EX (i got the DX cuz it was black)

im thinking about buying a 96-00 civic and i was wondering if its a good choice and worth it because of
*relibility-obviously it is, but how many miles do you have on your current civic?
*mods, are the mods generally cheaper than modding other cars?
*dealing with the haters, so many civic haters out there

i said long term cause i plan on getting the car and putting at least 5k in mods into it so i want to know if its worth it
1. 103,000
2. yes
3. F the haters.

just planning on doing basic stuff like catback, headers, intake, pully, cam gears, short shift kit.
that won't cost 5K, but it also won't make it very fast
