RE: civic tops most stolen list
Even if Civics aren't on the top of the most stolen list, they get stripped for parts more than any other car by a long shot, since the parts are worth so much. For instance, a pair of EK EX seats can sell for upwards of $400.

doesnt suprise me. accords, camrys, and civics have been in the top 3 since the early ninties, one or two getting kicked out every year or three by some other car.

Hell it's probly cause those 3 cars are everywhere. If a person could get the stats of how many cars in general were sold from say 1990 to now then dug up the stats of how many Accords, Civics, and Camrys were sold in the same time period I bet people would be shocked.

Yeah i'm finding this out the hard way haha i didn't know this little fact and then i tryed to get insurance ... BIG surprise ... more than double what my jetta was but then again thats going from liability to full coverage.
I took a criminal justice class about 2 semesters ago and the teacher gave a lecture on what cars are stolen the most. She said the Corolla and explained that its because alot of people want these and their not as highly guarded ( alarms, people lookin at em) and also theirs soo many of them on the street that they blend in.
