cops and cars...the facts
So if a guy with a white towell wrapped around his head, carrying a Muslim bible , and wearing a back pack with an BUSH sucks sticker on it, was walking with a group of people on the white house lawn, you don't think the police should make have a LOOK SEE, into that back pack.
<assuming he is just walking like everyone else>

SU****IOUS BEHAVIOR
In the example I just gave, I would like you to tell me the SPECIFIC "behavior" this man had.
I stated in the ORIGINAL post, he was simply walking with a group of people. That is something that happens every day around the white house.
The ONLY thing "su****ious" are his looks. Just like the only thing "su****ious" about your car is the looks.
See, what this amounts to is that we WANT our police to protect us in the most efficient manner possible, and that manner is through profiling. We just don't want to ever be profiled our self.

Those are not behaviors.
I want you to tell me what "behavior" he had to warrent the police looking into the backpack.
What is your occupation? I'll give you an example how YOU profile every day.

I've only been pulled over twice (by real police) and one dude was a total jerk about it but I didn't give him a hard time, I was definitely over the speed limit by a good amount. He went around and checked my headlights, tires, anything he could possably give me more tickets for, even though my car was in superb shape and had nothing of the sorts wrong. The other time, I was way over the limit but the area really shouldn't be a 35 zone and the guy knew it. He was really cool about it, told me to go to court and get it reduced and stuff. We even cracked a couple jokes.
So I guess you can look at my experiences as the half empty or half full. Personally I think they're fine... my mom works with a whole department of police and she's never said anything but good things about any of them.
