Default The CRV

Haha you guys are gonna love this, my buddy has a '97 CRV with 70,000 miles on it and hes selling it for $4,000. Not a bad deal at all. My little brother is about to start driving and I convinced him of looking at it. Hes all excited now. I told him its pretty much like my car, good on gas, easy to fix, ALL WHEEL DRIVE, so it can go mudding. One time my buddy and I went mudding in that thing with a fleet of big ole F150's and 1500's all with mud tires (most of 'em brand new). We hit up this mud hole called "****** camp" (i didnt name it lol) in a redneck town called Mclellanville. Its this 50 yard long mud hole, almost like a gauntlet. Everybody would get about half way and bog down. But when it was the CRV's turn (mind you it had no mud tires), ill be damned if it didnt make it! HAHAHA! it kinda floated across the mud hole. You should have seen the looks on all of the guys faces with their big trucks, it was PURE GOLD HAHAHAHA!!!!

Haha. Yeah, it's funny to see people get beat people at their own games by accident. My old neighbor had an 85 Civic sedan, complete beater, no mods, and he could beat anyone else in the area at a mud hill climb (just head on up the wall of a quarry). He won a ridiculously large number of bets...

After that my buddy and I went rally cruising. I was driving because im really experienced at it and I have to tell you, it is one hell of a rally truck! I was goinf around heavy muddy bends at 35-40 and hour (of course sideways) and it was eating it up for breakfast. Imagine that CRV with a S/C and some 31" mud tires! Jesus it would be killer!

yeah, its a B20, so a lot of performance stuff will fit. most stuff is a bolt on for an ls motor. just get an intake manifold, and a set of ls cams. that will be a huge difference in power.

oh yeah, its too heavy to really be fast, but it could be a lot of fun with a few good mods to it.

YIKES!! Sounds like I'd better look at the CRV as opposed to the Element! As I regardtoCRVs on the road it's interesting given your tales that the CRV's tires seem pretty tame,no?Also,Edmunds.com says the thing about the CRV is that one should not expect any serious of road capability.I guess you'd beg to differ and then some!Too bad the sound system in a stock CRV is lame. The Element's rocks.

BTW,u think 4x4 is a waste of $$ in sunny Florida with respect to the CRV?
