Deleted thread?
What staff member? Why was the thread pointless? I was under the impression that HCF was in the process of moving away from over policing? Very confusing.
I really don't feel comfortable saying who it was (rest assured it wasn't me), but he felt the thread was a bunch of BS. Personally, I won't argue with his opinion since I very much doubt that that bill is actually in the works, but still...
Yeah, I don't want to give any HCF staff a hard time. It just seems very confusing in light of all the discussion suggesting that HCF was moving in the opposite direction. I was just trying to figure out whether the decision was made *****-nilly or whether it was carefully thought out.
Update: An HCF staff member that I respect believes that the bill discussed in the deleted thread may have been fabricated. Does anyone know whether this is true? If the bill is fabricated, then the thread should be deleted. By the way, it turns out that the thread about Sarah Palin not knowing that Africa was continent is based on a fabricated rumor.

The deleted thread may have been referring to an energy bill passed by Congress in December 2007:

If so, this seems to be rather old news. Perhaps there was recent news about the bill that I missed in my search?
