i beleive the major amount of people who do actually race here, do it on the track.

maybe carlover was referring to road racing tracks, such as infineon, laguna seca, summit point, etc. I haven't but I surely want to get into that. Me and vovka86 are thinking about buying a 240sx and build it for track, meaning all go and no show. We figured that maybe like $6500 budget would be a good start. Shell at the junk yard for around $800-1000, SR20DET - $3000 + new clutch - $500, cams - $400, header - $400, and the rest will go into suspension and a racing seat. a roll cage will be added as th budget increases.

no..if u go to the link hes deff. talking about quarter mile times.
drag tracks, not circut tracks.
oh and fyi-- "road racing track"= circut tracks= autocross
and i dont think they to autocross on laguna seca, but i could be wrong..i dont live out that way.
find a piece s2k or a probe and work on that..it will take 240's

there is a guy at one of my other forums who has a 71 datsun 1200 with a sr20 dropped in...its setup for a road course, but it is a SICK build. if you would like a link to it andry, i can find one for you.

huh? Sorry if i used a wrong term, but autoX is different from track racing. They setup an AutoX courses on big parking lots with cones. They are usually pretty tight as opposed to tracks. It's almost like a mini track

sure. I'm very interested in mods that could be done to an SR20 motor, apart from the obvious.

i was tryin to get the point across, i know the difference because iv autocrossed in my probe....circut racing..or road track or whatever u wanna call it..is circut racing..where ur in a circut lol... circut ...circut.... circut...
