Ok, so I drove my universities formula car for the first time yesterday around a course we laid out at an old airport strip...holy crap. That thing HAULS. 0-60 in less than 3.5 seconds. Let me tell you, when you get on the gas all the way it is SCARY... and the thing brakes like crazy too. It's a little different autocrossing through the cones when you're at the same height as they are and your but is literally 2 inches off the ground and you're doing 80-100 mph. I cannot describe what it was like. Acceleration is completely instantaneous...wow, i can't wait until next time.

Well, we didn't have video this time, but I might be goign out again next friday and I'll try to bring my camera and mount it to the top of the car to take video. It's BADASS. The handling is completely amazing and getting on the throttle while you're doing 50 and getting sidewas cuz you're spinning the tires is pretty incredible.

yeah, until i realize i don't have to wear a helmet in my civic and i can move a little bit without hitting my leg on the shifter.

 

I am so jealous!

 

I am not kidding when I say there is actually an element of fear involved when you hit the gas.
