i have a 98 civic dx that came with a bodykit, rims, suspension, intake, headers, short shifter and exhuast with only 47,000mi. Would it be worth doing anything else to the engine or to swap the low mile engine. i mean what kind of HP could i get out of the DX engine?

 

well if your aren't going to go all motor, turbo that sucka... plenty of potential inside that engine

 

mini-me it. get the head from an EK EX and use that. mini-mes are good for around 135hp.

 

if would get a turbo would i have to get rid of my power steering? i heard that it gets in the way.

would have to change anything in the ECU if i got that head?

 

most basic kits wont get rid of anything...some high-powered ones will get rid of A/C...but even the big ones usually have a model that gets rid of AC and one that keeps it. needless to say the one that keeps it is more expensive

You would want to mini-me even if you did go turbo. Yes, you will have to change your ecu if you swap heads.

Keeping the AC will all depend on the manifold that you get. Just check the kit specs before you buy if it's important to you. They will definitely let you know.

indeed. and you could be making 200whp with a decent tune easily with it.
