I wouldn't go that far... most domestic owners who are down-to-earth people can appreciate a cleanly modded Civic, especially one with solid performance modifications.

Most of the people who call us ricers tend to be uneducated rednecks and teenagers who just like to make fun of people due to their own insecurities... Civics just tend to be the car they target in their verbal attacks because the Civic is an extremely popular car that many ricers own because they think it's cool to own one. To give you an example, these people, mostly the rednecks, are also the people who think that all Muslims are bad/terrorists. It's only because they are too unintelligent to realize that not all people of one kind or owners of one kind of car are the same.

... wow. For once, I completely f*cking agree with literally everything stu said. Anyone who isn't completely ignorant will appreciate a tastefully modded civic, especially considering the crazy swap trend (5 years ago the H22 swap was extremely uncommon, and a K-swap was the holy grail of Honda swaps. Now, both swaps are common practice). The problem is simply ignorance (and a little fanboy-ism, but that goes hand-in-hand with ignorance). Unfortunately, reasonable muscle car owners are few and far between... and that's coming from a Mustang owner. There's a reason I don't hang out with other Mustang owners: for the most part, they're arrogant douches. If I see another modded mustang on the highway, I'll cruise with him/her, but don't expect to see me hanging out with the owner. Ever.
