Default Electric supercharger

My cousin bought a crappy electric supercharger the other day, and I must say it looks like a piece of crap. There is no way these things can work, right?[/align]

pardon my laziness, as im sure that ive said it before, but there are SOME that do work.

Thomas Knight makes a kit, but it is just as expensive as a normal supercharger setup.

A friend of mine sells e-charger kits on ebay, and he sells a ton of them. He has even had people send in dyno sheets showing gains. Just out of curiosity, I put one on my stratus, and compared to the stock air box, the gtech showed gains...not huge gains, but it is a cheap upgrade.

Adding power with an electric supercharger desn't really make sence due to the losses in the electrical system. I guess if it was used in bursts like NOS it could add power when running off the battery but a true "supercharger" setup doesn't make any sence to me.
