Hey,

Well got my first speeding ticket. I was going 90 in a 60 community zone. I really am not that pissed because its a stupid little speed trap I didn't know about in cambridge (turns down to 60 for like 100 meters from 80). Well the cop was nice and lowered it to 69 in a 50. Comes to 62 bucks. He also overlooked an expired insurance slip which would of been an additional $75. Anyways my question is do I automatically lose 2-3 points or does he need to tell me AND OR write it on my ticket? He did neither so I am not sure.

well we all have to start somewhere, lol dam your tickets are cheap up there.
well in my state 14 over or under is only 2 points and also the cops dont write it on the ticket .

Hahaha, I forgot that you were a metric dude and was like 90 in a 60?! That's a good size ticket here in the states. 69 in a 50 is definitely cheaper up there than it would be here too. $62 isn't a bad ticket in USD but that's prolly 55 bucks or something like that here. As for the points, they don't write them on the ticket here, we don't even get the fine on the ticket.

My last ticket was 56 in a 35 (mxs can vouch that it's a BS 35 zone, there's absolutely nothing around.) Anyways, I got it reduced to a 2 point non speed violation and it was still more than $100.

Before that I got a 82 in a 65 but wasn't able to make the court date, don't remember what the fine was but I got 3 points, that I got removed with a safety class.

 

in the us. you will not have the points applied to your liscence until you go to court. i think the same rule should still apply.

hey i remember my first ticket. it was 5:45 in the friggin morning. i was doing 48 in a 20mph SCHOOL ZONE. WHY IN THE HELL ARE THE LIGHTS ON AT 5:45 IN FRIGGIN MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! that's what the judge said to me. i said i don't know your honor. He said jesus christ the kids start school earlier and earlier every morning. he said did you see the lights? i was like no. your honor honestly i didnt think to look. i mean it was 6 am. he said if you had seen them would u have been doing 20. i said Yes sir. he said make sure of. i said Yes sir yer honor. and then he said case dismissed. I was lkike **** yeah!!!!! sorry i guess im just really lucky. i also got a ticket once for doing 70 in a 55. DRiving school. and for illegally passing in a residential area and doing twice the speed limit. which entitle recless driving. so i did driving schol. for thAT ONE. and i have been ulled over onceby a minivan. I SWEAR TO GOD!!!! it was the old box style aerostars. it was red this guy jumped out wearing over alls and a camoflauge shirt and a Yankees hat. ill never forget it. i ran a red light. he asked me not to do it again. he would tell my dad if i did. i said ummm ok. and drove away. i was once pulled over on pellisiippi for doing 80 in a 55. got a WARNING!!! i think he guessed at how fast i was going b/c my radar detector didn't go off. and once i got a ticket for public ludeness down by the river $55, i always thought they were more then that. but he said since he didnt catch us doing anything he can only guess we were about to either do drugs or do it. i was like. ummm ok. so i have had my share of run ins with the law. and i still have a clean driving record. there was also that one time that my car was redflagged this one week in oak ridge. i think they found someone else to pick on tho b/c they stopped harassng me. during those 9 days i was pulled over 6 times one resulted in a deep scare. i think you alll know about that one. if not ill find it and add it on here for those who want to read it again. but some of you do not believ it so you can all goto hell. jk. lol. but dude dont end up like me with a good driving record b/c my dad know 2 troopers two city officer 4 of the surrounding county sheriffs. and three TBI's its not the way you want to go . trust me. b/.c everytime i do something wrong they all call my dad. im 19 and im getting told on by ppl i dont even know. its total bull shiit. anywho i have my rant out of the way for the day.
