Yeah, my brother bought a Cobalt SS supercharged brand new and within a month it wouldn't start. Some freak electrical problem. It's been in the shop several other times after that... all within like 7 months.

my monster-in-law, oops, i meant mother-in-law had a passat four cylinder.

it broke down so much, she took like a $7,000 loss to get rid of it for a USED lincoln LS.

it was so bad that it made my father-in-law curse openly in public, and he's a church deacon. lol.

i remember one time after he put the car in the shop for a week (with a $1,500 repair bill for a transmission problem) he went to pick it up and drove down the street about a mile and the car broke down again. LOL.

it gets better. the car had the usual VW electrical gremlins and was constantly burning out bulbs which weren't covered under warranty for long.

after they traded the car in, VW does what??? you guessed it, finally do a nationwide recall for the electrical glitches. lol.

so any of you clownz that say VWs have great build quality, go buy one...

werd. I know a dude who works for VWOA here in Grand Rapids. He said that the first day they dropped off the new Jetta (this one had 7 miles on it), he got in it, turned the key, and it idled for about 15 seconds before it started misfiring

My brother has owned his 4cyl passat since it was new in 2000 and it still has not had any engine problems!! Only electrical problems like the leds in the doors (windows up and down) would flicker and sometimes not turn on.

It is crazy to see that almost every single top rated car on the lists were japanese!

i'm not surprised that japanese are the best they have the best quality of parts and they last really long. i don't want to own certain american cars, they are so cheaply made.
