Wouldn't someone be able to tell who had started the "additional cardmember" by calling the credit card company? They would know whose file the card was tied to. Seeing as how easy it is to find out people's personal information, couldn't a single reporter simply call the company and find out who pulled this off?

I enjoyed the story, but what they did is a crime, and wire fraud is a felony. I'm surprised this guy didn't end up in prison.
