gettin a laptop
no skate, its there network, their servers block it...and you guys are silly, proxy servers are NOT the answer to everything...now they are basically useless... they also listed one of the reasons being not to jepordize any missions and stuff...although its apparently an agreement that you guys are aware of that you cant upload/post classified//secret/top secret and sensitive data on the net...i guess its still been a slight problem because what one finds too "revealing" another may not...you know...but thats just what i read.
EJ...HP's arnt evil...i still have mine from like 99-01 somthing like that..and its still good. dells, now those are the bad ones

no, i'm sticking with my philosphy on hp's, i think they're trash, every single one i've owned or used, or have friends that owned them, i've had to replace parts for all of them, and they crash at least monthly. you probably just got lucky with yours, lol
Since his purchase is a done deal, you guys are just wasting your breath. Here is a link to public proxy servers that can bypass website blocks put in place by parental controls, the local library, or the military. I have to believe the men in uniform are aware of them. If you use them no one will be able to trace your activity. Some of them are private, some are universities, some are public.

Gene,
Why would you think providing information of that nature was a good thing? Network security is not a game. Blocking sites are not meant to be cruel. I can speak for many when I say how much time is wasted daily on mindless , bullsh!t surfing and other non-business net activity. I do it myself unfortunately. I would not be running to provide ways around parental controls or business blocking of non-business sites. It just seems wrong. I'm not saying what to do but consider the gullibility of your audience and the impact, potentially to you, if something goes awry when someone uses or abuses information YOU provided. Just a thought.
