They changed it because you can get a OWI on a lawn mower or anything like that.

I am curious, i was looking at the document the DMV sent me for suspending my plates and wanna know how you guys take this...

"To rescind this suspension, an insurance company must electronically provide DMV with proof of insurance coverage."

That is coming after they sent me a temporary suspension letter...

I am just wondering since i got insurance from NY company should the suspension have been taken off?

 

Got some Horrible news that i wasn't hoping for from the DMV today!!!

GEICO Indemnity cancelled your auto insurance effective November 24, 2009 and as a result you have a lapse in insurance coverage and a corresponding vehicle registration suspension for 82days. In order to close this suspension you must either turn in your vehicle registration and license plates for the number of days stated above, or in lieu of turning in your registration items, you may pay a civil penalty of $804.
Man are they out to get money or what? Especially since nobody can go 3 months without a car especially if its their only one..
